DSTV and EastEnders

This weekend (30/31 March 2025), there was only one episode of EastEnders on BBC British and it had been removed from Catch-up. EastEnders fans were already reduced to two, rather than four episodes a week, and now this. Trying to get any answers from DSTV is futile.

After doing some research, I see the new channel BBC UK will be airing the customary for episodes a week, which suggests that DSTV is sneakily moving it in total to the new channel. I have had the "full bouquet" for many years, purely because I like watching British TV, and was already annoyed when the ITV channel was dropped with no explanation. Now I am expected to pay an additional R29 a month to have access to BBC UK. Surely when one has the full bouquet, it should be free of charge?
