DStv 24 month contract offer problem

DStv recently announced their new 2025 subscription rates. They are offering a 24 month contract rate at R899 per month. I was interested in taking up this offer, but my present account has a +65 pensioner discount of 10% per month. After delays in promised replies to me, I was told that two discounts could not be app**** to my account. ie. the contract discount and my +65 discount. I cannot see anything in their T & C's that says this. So, when I do the calcs, even when applying the new 2025 increase, it is cheaper for me to stay out of contract and get my pensioner discount. I told DStv of this and received an indifferent reply which reads to me as 'we do not really care, take it or leave it'. All in all, very disappointing.
