<p>Seriously disappointed with DSTV. They have removed channels and continue to play repeat movies and repeat series. We are on Compact Package so the loss of the channesl really does effect us more. </p> <p>As an example about 6 months ago DSTV aired "Mystery of Laura" Season 2 on Channel 115. Then the same season was aired on Channel 162, currently still showing. Now low and behold the same Season 2 is staring on Channel 115 tonight (17/1/2017) on 115 again!!! Why? Can they not just air Season 3?</p> <p>It is unacceptable how many repeats they show across the package. </p> <p>DSTV advertise - "We hear you and will do something about the repeats" Empty promises!</p> <p>Please Hello Peter, look into this and try and get some answers for us!</p>

We understand that you find repeats frustrating. The main reason programmes are repeated is to give people a chance to see something they might have missed. Or to record on their PVRs a show they might have missed. Not everyone has the freedom to watch what they want, when they want to.
Our 5.5 million South African customers lead busy lives – some of us rush around during the day while others work at night and others are just too busy to watch their favourite show when it goes on air. That’s one of the reasons that we give our customers more than one chance to watch what they want.

Further on your decoder, go to channel 100 to watch a video loop of this month’s highlights. You can also use the decoder search feature to look for genres, movies A-Z or specific shows.

31 Jan 2017, 11:37Good day Elna, I understand the repeats of programmes the following day etc. however my main complaint is why is DSTV airing the same Seasons of Series, such as Chicargo PD, Chicargo Fire, Mysteries of Laura, Shades of Blue, just to name a few, on 115 for the second or third time? Why not air the next Season? At the moment Mysteries of Laura Season 2 is showing for the second time on 115 and it is showing on 162, at the same time. Please stop showing the same Season's on and on, let us watch the next Season. I am on the Compact Package, which is limited to good viewing of late because of all the repeats. Channel 117 is also full of repeats, the movies have be shown about 3 or 4 times already. You have taken channels away and this does not affect the Premium package, but what about the Compact package? The price remains the same and yet we have less channels to watch and loads of repeat movies and Season Series? The Fox channels also keep repeating the same Season of Series, for example on 125 - CSI Miami Season 4 is now showing for the 3rd time, this series has 10 Seasons?? On 126 they have aired Private Practice Season 1 and 2 twice, and there are 6 Season’s to this particular show? What about Season 3?? Please may we have a constructive answer? TIA
