DSTV is just as bad as Zuma. *****ing our money. My decoder kept on giving me error messages. Got an installer out several times, New dish, new this, new that. Yet, no go. Eventually, the hard drive packed up, for the 2nd time. Bought a 3rd new decoder a few weeks ago. Guess what, the same thing, Insert sim card, there is no signal, channel not available in this country (that is eNews), etc. Try phoning the contact centre. Just a wast of time & more more money. And that is not even to mention the Walka that packed up after 2 years. For R844 pm they are a rip ofas they know there is no other alternative. A so called "customer" must just pay & pay & pay for terrible installation, inferior products & even disgusting customer service.

Dear Nolan
Thank you for taking our call, apologies for the frustration caused.
Please try the following steps if you still cannot access some channels, it is most likely that the decoder software is not up to date :
o Go to “Menu > Advanced Options > DSD Upgrade”
o Press the RED button to upgrade the decoder software
o After the upgrade completes, allow the decoder to perform a Rescan (Press OK on the Rescan pop up when the decoder boots up)
If the software upgrade did not resolve the problem, it’s possible the installation is not capable of receiving high band channels
If the installation is not capable of receiving high band channels try the following :
Go to “Menu > Advanced Options > Network Setup”
Set “LNB Hi Frequency” to 10600
Set “LNB Switch Frequency” to 11900
Press the YELLOW button to Scan the decoder
If the problem persists we recommend that you get the decoder tested since you have already checked your installation.
