Dont give them your banking details

So I get a call from a DSTV consultant last week Friday to offer me the DSTV price lock compact deal valid for 24 months. It includes a Explorer Wifi connector and installation. This deal also offers a reduction in my current installments monthly and the tariff remains the same for two years. Now i run 2 Compact subscriptions and i prefer monthly Manuel payments. Having said that unfortunately taking on this deal means a debit has to be set and monthly debit order is in place. I gladly provided the information hoping for a quick 24 hour turnaround . 72 hours later and no response no email correspondence no nothing. So i called in to the customer care center and hello hello, there is no application loaded for me, but DSTV has a debit setup. Multichoice is running out of options with Netflix and other steaming services taking over. Based on this they are pulling all kinds of **** to secure a stable database that gets debit monthly. Dont fall victim to this. You may sit with unwanted debits monthly. I may just cancel and advise my whole circle to cancel their DSTV subscriptions. We are better of streaming

Reviewer Update
Hi Dstv

I was contacted by someone looking at customer reviews. Her service was good and she promised me feedback. Going forward and as someone who provides a service for the public, when deals are discussed i would suggest a email of confirmation be sent to the customer after the conversation or summarizing the discussion. A follow up call would also be great within 24 hours to check and see if the customer has been helped and all is on track. These were the failures i felt as after 72 hours and a phone call to customer care nothing had been done.

On a positive note I thank DSTV for their Swift response and hope we can resolve this soon.
