Dissatisfied Customer
After the loss of my Life-Partner through cancer, I spent sometime away from home with my daughter. I rang Multichoice on 9 June 2018 to have the service disconnected while I was away. On my return on 3 September 2018 I rang Multichoice and spoke with the consultant Makgosi to have the service reconnected. I was told to paid a fee of R360 on EFT through Standard Bank with notification to Makgosi (I have proof ). The service was connected as soon as the notification came through. Within a few days thereafter several text messages came through stating that I was in arrears and the service would be disconnected, which obviously did occur. On Monday 18 September 2018 I visited Multichoice Benoni Car Radio & TV and spoke with Gcina Ncube who insisted I pay an outstanding amount of R402.42 even through he had proof from my monthly statement and made a copy for their own use. I therefore paid the R402.42 and the service was re-connected. On 26 September 2018 the monthly premium of R475 was deducted from my debit order.
On 9 October 2018, I contacted Socialmedia at Multichoice via email and spoke with Nonkululeko Zulu who responded on the same day and I quote: "Thank you for taking the time to contact us, we are pleased to assist you. We will certainly inform you once your payment has been allocated to your account"! After almost a month had expired and I therefore wrote an email on 29 October 2018 to Ms Zulu from Socialmedia at Multichoice reminding her of my payment as of today no communication from Multichoice.
As I'm a Pensioner and depend on my monthly contribution, I truly feel that after spending R360 + R402.42 and monthly premium of R475 all during the month of September 2018, it is grossly unfair that I should be accountable for their lack of interest in the payment sector.
Im terribly dissatisfied with the non-existent service from Multichoice.
