Good day Cecil

We understand your concern regarding repeats and have taken this issue to heart to do something about it. While we can’t do away with all repeats, we intend to cut down on the volume and introduce as much fresh content as possible. We’re also going to help you find more shows you might like, but never knew existed (so please go to DStv.com for more information).

This January alone we’ve had 56 brand new shows premiere for the first time across the DStv channels as well as 58 new seasons of returning favourites and 12 never-before-seen blockbuster movies on M-Net (DStv 101), M-Net Edge (DStv 102) and M-Net Movies Premiere (DStv 104). From April 2017, there will be new movies on Mzansi Magic and Bioskop. This means that anywhere from 52 to 104 new movies will grace your screen every year! Our Afrikaans movies on fliekNET will be bolstered by some 12 new movies annually.

Our research has shown that customers tend to watch a lot of the same shows and channels. It’s possible that there might be other content available; you just weren’t aware of it (so we’ll help you discover other scintillating stuff). That’s not to say that we don’t acknowledge that there’s content on your package you don’t care for; but it comes back to making packages affordable. We have to bundle channels together to spread the costs, so inevitably, there may be shows on your package you just won’t watch, or aren’t watching now. We feel it’s a fair trade-off in exchange for having affordable content.

We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. Please continue doing so as your feedback is important to us.

Kind regards

Dinah
