Disgusted with DSTV

I am disgusted with DSTV, like big time. I have asked to upgrade my account today and I was told I need to pay a pro rata fee for to do that. It doesn't make sense for me to pay a pro rata fee when in actual fact my payment date is the same date that I have requested for an upgrade. In my understanding "a pro-rata fee is a part charge on your bill for a service you used for only part of a month". When I upgrade today, I would have not used and benefited on the premium package and I need to be charged the full month on the 1st of December (i.e. paying for 1 Nov to 1 Dec). This is just a ******* and just makes no sense at all...For example, a car insurance company would charge a pro rata when one wants to start the cover immediately however the payment date is different to the start date. Which makes perfect sense.
