On the 31st of August I paid my MultiChoice account for the month of September as the payment is always due on the 1st of every month. On the 6th I received an sms notification that my account was due as I have not paid. I ignore the sms as I knew very well that I had paid and thought that they probably made a mistake. On Sunday the 8th of September my account was disconnected and I received a massage to say it was due to the fact that I had not paid. I took my proof of payment and went to the closest branch in Jabulani where I was assisted by a Consultant name Bolokang Sebogodi. He told me that I had two decoders of which one was not paid for. I informed him that I only have the explorer which I have been paying for all along. He said he did not understand as well. He then made a phone call to whomever and told me that I have to go to the police station to write a statement that I did not know nor have another decoder. I incited that he switch back on my account as I have paid and told him I have only the explorer. I asked him when was the second decoder loaded, he told me from the 27th of January. I Then asked him how come MultiChoice only decided to disconnect now whereas it was activated from January and I have been paying the same amount of money. He told me he cannot answer that, all he knows is that I have to write a statement at the police station if not my service will be disconnected again. Now I do not understand why I have to do that whereas I have given him proof of payment to my account ***.He also mentioned that it was activated by a former employee by the name of Mxolisi. I am so frustrated as to why should I be doing up and running to the police station whereas I told him I do not have another decoder.
