Deliberate attempt from DSTV to frustrate clients

Morning,

Last week the problem began to intensify! Usually every second day AUTOMATICALLY at 19:03 and 19:45 the PVR decoder just start to scan.

On Saturday the DSTV problem escalated to scan AUTOMATICALLY more often on 06:03, 07:03, 08:03, 09:03, 17:03, 18:03, 19:03, 19:33, 19:47, 20:03 and 21:03

I receive a very bad attitude from DSTV 1.) DSTV online refuse to answer the email I've sent 2.) Multichoice-Bloem tell me I must pay (I am very sorry) 3.) When we bought the PVR at Incredible Connection (Brand New) within the first week I had to take it in to Multichoice Bloemfontein and had to pay R350 to have it repaired. It was not repaired it was exchanged for a second hand PVR with broken front lid 4.) NOW, I am very sorry I will not cough up another sent for DSTV-Multichoice problems.

This constant scanning of the PVR is a deliberate attempt from DSTV to try and force me to buy a new decoder. THIS PROBLEM STARTED AFTER THE LAST DSTV UPDATES WERE INSTALLED, SO IT IS A DELIBERATE SOFTWARE VIRUS FROM DSTV TO CONSTANTLY SCAN AND FRUSTRATE THE CLIENT.

Afternoon DSTV, Regarding the below reply you have sent. When a DSTV decoder is bought there is no information given to the client that mention ANYTHING that a decoder will ONLY work till a specific point in time (year) and need to be replaced at the clients expense when DSTV sees fit to change to a new satellite or whatsoever reason?!? Tell me DSTV what kind of a deal is it to tell a DSTV subscriber we want your R844 per month but in order for you to keep on giving us your R844 monthly you need to pay us an extra once-off R1999 till we tell you to do so again?!? DSTV Response: Thank you for taking my call today. Reference is made to our telephonic reference, kindly note the model of the decoder you are using is no longer supported. We recently launched a new satellite and it uses frequencies that the SD PVR isn't able to receive. You are able to trade the SD PVR decoder for the HD PVR decoder. Click on the attached link to see the different trade in options we offer: http://campaigns.dstv.com/explora/sd-pvr-trade-in and https://www.onairtv.co.za/products-and-details. Please note that you are required to return your SD PVR Decoder to qualify for the Swap. Thank you for your continuous support. Let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Kind regards
