Defective explora

I have the same experience as other viewers. My explora is 2 years old. I reboot and the same message appears .... the hard drive is ******* and the disc is full. I am paying for a full service and not being able to access catchup or any of the services offered on the explora. Seems to me that the batch of explora s are defective . All should be recalled and affected customers should be issued with a new decoder free of charge.

Spoke to a most helpful technician at mutichoice. Gave instructions to format the hard drive on the explora. If not successful, I would have to take explora in and if there is a hard drive fault, I would be given another explora. Will follow through and advise.

Dear Marlene Licht,

Technical problems are caused by various factors. When the device indicates that the hard drive is ******* we do recommend that you take in the device to the nearest MultiChoice agency or branch for testing.

If the device is faulty you will be advised accordingly. Should the device need to be swapped or repaired a basic repair charge fee will be charged if the device does not have decoder insurance.

Formatting the hard drive will delete recorded content stored on the device.

We best recommend that you kindly take in the device for testing.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send an email to *** .

Kind regards,

Edward.
