Decoder not working
<p>I am convinced that these DSTV decoders have a limited lifespan (approx 3 years) and that it has been programmed in. I bought 2 decoders, 1 for lounge 1 for bedroom. They both packed up within a few weeks of each other. A reconditioned decoder from Multichoice costs R700 each. Games is selling new for R550. </p> <p>By the way don't get me started on your insurance because in 3 years when decoder packs up you have paid in excess of R700 in insurance</p>

MultiChoice’s aim is to give our customers an evolving (and better) viewing experience. To this end, we regularly launch new channels and services, but these can be quite demanding on your hardware.
Your decoder will go through various life cycles, starting with when it’s new and fully capable, to when it’s nearing time for replacement. Some of our older model decoders have been classified as “end of support” since November 2014.
