Debiting my account as they please
In April I changed the nature of the 3 DStv Accounts that are in my name, to be full paying DStv accounts.
I gave DStv strict written instructions to amend my Debit order amount from R 900, to the full amount (almost 3 times as much). However, this was not done and I have subsequently been incurring a shortfall on my account.
This has meant that I now have an exorbitant outstanding amount on my account.

Subsequent to the written instruction, I have contacted the call centre in the hope that I can resolve the root cause and make a payment arrangement. However, despite being given a reference number, I was never contacted back and nothing was resolved.

This month, DStv has decided to debit my account with TWICE as much as they should, without any communication or consent.
When I eventually spoke to a consultant today, she informed me that I was contacted to make a payment arrangement, but was unable/unwilling to proof thereof.

It's absolutely unbelievable that DStv just decides to debit whatever amount they want, while they are at fault and their billing department is a shambles. Needless to say, I will be moving away from debit order.
