Debited without consent

Close to the end of august i app**** for the R99 deal for the DSTV Explora 2. I was Pre-Approved for the deal but didnt follow through with it as i had just moved into a new hwome and needed some time to settle in. Last week i called a dstv consultant and clearly asked if i could pay for the remainder of the month (26-29th sep 2017) because i was planning to downgrade my package as i mostlyuse this facility for my kids who watch cartoons. To my suprise i was debited on 1 oct 2017 for a full months subscription for the month ahead. I understand that i was obligated to have a direct debit set up because those were part of the teems when applying for the R99 deal but i was ONLY pre-approved. I was still supposed to speak to a consultant to confirm the deal. At no point have i given consent to have my monthly subscription taken via debit order (yet). Ive tried to communicate with dstv via the facebook page but all i was given was the below excuse which was two days ago. " I've been debited for my monthly subscription without my consent. I've never given any consent for money to be debited from my bank account. I recently app**** for the R99 explora deal but at no point did i agree to be debited for my monthly subscription.i was planning to downgrade my package this month hence me not paying the full amount. I need this to be handled accordingly or i will be forced to take matters further."

"Hi Jody

Apologies for the delay response. Kindly note that the method of payment is in debit order and we have debited your monthly subscription.`RDM"

48 hours later and still no valid explaination?!?! I absolutely understand that i have to pay my account which is not the issue. Im just appauled by the fact that they would go into my account and deduct money without my consent. I need answers please.

Cheers.
