Debit order not changed

I’m writing in regards to my late father’s Multichoice account, ********** 6. Because bank accounts are usually frozen within 3 months of someone’s death, we’ve requested Multichoice to move the monthly debit order to another bank account. I’ve written letters and made phone calls between 2 and 7 November, and on 7 November we sent all the requested forms and documentations to ********** Great is our surprise to see that this month the debit order still went off from the old bank account! Why wasn’t the account moved? If there was a problem, why didn’t Multichoice inform us? My mother said maybe it’s a sign she shouldn’t have DSTV anymore, so should we just wait till the bank account is frozen and the debit order doesn’t go through before someone at Multichoice wakes up? Otherwise we can always cancel the DSTV account - it seems like the easier option.

Good day Marina

With reference to our telephonic conversation in regards to the change of debit order details on your Late Fathers account ,we advised that you need to do a change of ownership from your Fathers account to your mother’s account and load the new banking details on the new account .

Please refer to your personal e mail address for the requested documentation.

Kind Regards

Rupert

Best regards,

Rupert was very efficient. It's a pity Multichoice's customer service wasn't this good when I dealt with them directly and gave wrong intstructions. Everything should be sorted now, thank you.
