De-coupling a decoder from a price-lock contract. No help.
If you want to sign a price lock deal and have a multi-view setup; make sure you understand the tech and commercial implications. You have difficulty "de-coupling" the new DSTV Explora 3a from the contract by for example transferring ownership. My brother did PriceLock, kept his 3A in a cupboard as he had no need to change technical setup that was working for him. Giving me the decoder, I changed my setup at home but cannot activate the new decoder as it is linked to brothers contract. Getting it de-linked seems extremely difficult, if at all possible. Support staff cannot help, it is escalated to price-lock department and they do not make contact and are not contactable directly.
Technically you need a decoder for each TV you want to watch at. With Explora 2 it was possible to extend to a 2nd TV. Both TV's on the same channel and still use remote. No more.

Best regards,
Your brother has 21 months remaining in his contract. In order for the decoder to have a change of ownership performed on it, the contract holder has to contact us and settle the contract.
This will then enable us to move the decoder from his name to your name. As your brother his the contract holder he should know that the decoder can not be removed from this name till it is settled.
For your brother to get a quote to settle the contract he can send an email to ***.
Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send us an email at ***.
