Good morning <br> <br> I not happy with your increase (current month instalment is R319.00) (Increasing to R345 ) Increase difference R26.00 <br> <br> As per you increase letter below,<br> <br> \We buy most of this fantastic content in foreign currency, and due to the depreciation of the rand by 29 per cent since April 2015, our costs have gone up dramatically. <br> Over the past five years our adjustments have been in line with inflation. We've done a lot of research into what pay TV costs in other parts of the world, and we believe that DStv is still one of the most affordable services you can get.
We understand that you would like to choose your own channels with believe you would pay less. However it is cheaper for our customers to get packages, as opposed to making up their own package.
Individual channels on their own are expensive and if customers were to select a mix of their own channels, they would end up paying more than what they currently pay. As channel choices vary greatly, there is also a chance that a specific channel role will become unaffordable if there is too little interest.
We put a lot of thought and research into putting together the DStv packages and maintaining them. We ensure that there are a variety of packages available to suit every pocket. We also consistently monitor feedback from customers, and factor this in when deciding on changes to packages.
