customers come last!

I have a dual view installation of HD Pvr's at my house and like so many DSTV customers have replaced faulty decodes many times always at my inconvenience and always with no guarantee that the useless equipment will actually work or not. I bought a new Explora in 2013 but have never installed it until this evening when I tried to install it and ended up spending 1 hour and 28 mins going through all the usual steps from DSTV such as switching decoders off and on again, taking cards out and doing the same. Swapping cables etc together with all the other irritating steps that high paying customers have to go through with this company but always with the same final solution. I, the customer, must, at my expense, drive all the way to a DSTV centre for a technician to go through the same old process as always, I.e. Another 45 mins of useless testing only to be told that the hardware can be swapped out at a cost and by the way if you pay us more money you an even insure your encoder against us not actually fixing it! What a complete racket! i was extremely irate and probably pretty rude and finally had the phone put down on me. I requested that Gary call me back and I am still waiting. .

Dear Andy

Previous to the 23rd June 2016, our official page at Hello Peter i.e. the MultiChoice page only extracted queries addressed/named under keywords related to MultiChoice. All other keywords/categories e.g. DStv Installations or DStv service were not included in what we received.

We have asked the Hello Peter Team to help us find every single query addressed to us in order to ensure that we receive these in future, irrelevant of the keywords used or category chosen by the customer. We want to be able to connect with all our customers and not miss any concerns raised by you. Your email is part of a batch of queries located and it has reached us extremely late.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused, however according to detail logged on our system, it appears that your query was resolved by one of our alternative DStv Customer Care channels. Please feel free to let us know if this is not the case.

Kind Regards,

MultiChoice - DStv Support @ Hello Peter

Best regards,

The query has certainly not been resolved. What actually happened is that your customer simply gave up on you out of sheer frustration at your arrongance and poor service.

I am sitting with a brand new out of the box explora which does not work according to your extremely rude call centre supervisor.

I have two HD pvrs that are both faulty with one working intermittently and the other with a faulty hard drive all of which require your customer to get in their car and endure more of the same useless service and money grabbing from a company that is so proud of its raft of problems that it advertises the error messaged on TV and suggesting how clever you are at using your customers to fix your service and all the while saving you costs. If I ran a company like yours I would be ashamed! And that comes from a rather substantial shareholder of Naspers, although that naturally wouldn't count for anything given the level of arrogance!
