Customer Care Centre for an Decoder

I spent 30 minutes on a call to the call centre, was told i can go up to a Customer Care Center and fill in the paper work and collect a new Decoder. I confirmed with the call centre that i wanted to buy it on the 849 per month deal (ie subs + extra view + R99 a month for the decoder. got all my paper work together and sat in traffic for an hour. On arrival at the call centre i asked who to speak to about get the decoder, i was directed to counter 20. Once i explained again (3 or 4 time) is was told that i cant do it there. I have to sms \dpp"to some random number and wait 5 days for someone to call me. Why on earth was not told on the phone at 9 am in the morning. Wanted 3 hours of my day. If had a choice i would move but like Eskom and Telkom we are pretty stuck.
Big corporate and call centers are anything but customer centric especially the ones that hold a grip like they do.

"""
