Constant Volume problem
Hi,<br> <br> I have 2 complaints about the automatic volume change on DSTV.<br> <br> Why is it that with every switch of channels the volume drops to almost mute!? I know this happens to everyone and not just me. When are you going to sort this out? Is this incompetence or a setting that you permanently have?<br> <br> Why does the volume of adverts go up significantly? (are you TV stations required to do this by your sponsors, if so, do you not find this irritating as well?) It is so frustrating to constantly change the volume.<br> <br> please do something about this.

We would like to sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience caused.
Regarding the volume levels during adverts the industry standard is that adverti*****t volume levels are higher than those of programming. The difference should not be big enough to turn down the volume, though. We are able to normalize audio levels but we need to monitor the channel first. Please let us know if this problem is across all channels or a select few. Please note that we only control the audio on local channels. We do not control the audio on foreign channels.
