Clueless call centre agents
Last night I was having problems with my remote. It was not responding and a green light kept flashing. I called the contact centre at 21:30 and spoke to Cikiswa who listened to my query and said she'll get someone to assist me. She put me on hold for a couple of minutes then dropped my call. I called again and spoke to Samke who had no idea what on earth I was talking about and her 1st response was I must rather take my decoder and remote to the nearest centre and get assistance. This lady was so clueless I had to tell her to go back to her training manual and check what needs to be done when a client has this problem because it's not the first time I contact the call centre with this problem and I've been assisted before. Again she kept putting me on hold which was very unprofessional and had no clue what she was doing. I eventually asked for a manager and guess what she also put me on hold and eventually dropped the call. Now remember this is not a free call and this is not a free service either. We pay this company a lot of money for us to be treated this way. I called back again and spoke to Andile and I asked for a manager and he kept me on hold for 35 minutes and never came back to me. It was 22h50 and the call centre is closing at 23h00. I eventually got through to Anita who refused to give me her surname saying that it's against company policy to give me her surname. I mean what utter nonsense is that? I don't know if the company is hiring children coming out of high school who have no idea what they are doing. Is this the kind of people you want representing your brand?? This service left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I might as well just stick to sabc and not pay for cable TV and be treated like I don't pay. Why don't u have managers on the floor for the late shift. Why do u have a contact centre when the 1st thing you tell your client is to go to the nearest centre to get assistance?
