Charged for services not used

My decoder stopped working. I called you on or about 29 October 2019 to immediately disconnect my services. I took the decoder to your customer service center and it was replaced with another one. I later learned that you did not disconnect the services and have charged me for the period that I was not using your services. I have brought this to your attention and you still have not sorted this out. NO ONE IS GIVING ME FEEDBACK. I called this morning, I was speaking to Siyabonga and the call was disconnected, I wonder if this was not intentional. Can you please give me feedback?

I must say that you are taking your customers for granted and you take no pride in your service to customers!

Your response reads as follows:- "Kindly be aware that account disconnections and downgrades can only be done on your payment date. In your case, your payment date is on the 25th of every month but you contacted us on the 30th of October. This means your account could only be disconnected on the 25th of November."

So are you saying that I was supposed to pay for your services EVEN THOUGH I HAD TOLD YOU THAT THE DECODER IS DAMAGED. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRE EVEN SWAPPED THE DECODER FOR ME.

As per Nqobile and Kagiso, I am supposed to pay for services which I could not use even if I wanted to because the decoder was not working. Let us rather let the http://www.thencc.gov.za/ decide what is the right thing in this case.
