Change of ownership dilemma
The convenience of Xtraview seemed so attractive with the Rugby World Cup and BPL coming up I decided to set it up. With the wiring done and heart beat checked all I needed to do was to change the ownership of my second decoder which was in my father's name. Easy game apparently. In reality, however, this was not so. Documents were downloaded and filled in. ID copies were certified and all was sent to the change of ownership department. This was on the 27th of July. Two days later a confirmation email was received informing me that all had been done. All that was left was to phone the call centre in Durban and get connected. My wife could watch the Home Channel and I could guilt free sport. If only. The call centre was no help. Their records reflected that no change of ownership had taken place. 9 days later this is still the case. The confirmation email and reference number seems wholly immaterial. The call centre cannot phone the change of ownership department. And so began the emailing cat and mouse saga. Needless to say there has been no change. As a premium subscriber this is the service I get. 10 or so phone calls, several emails and still no Xtraview.
