Change of decoder owneship
I have tried for some weeks now to change the ownership of my decoder to that of my father in law. We reside in the same home and only recently found out that we can link our two decoders for the extra view package.
I disconnected my service and sent change of ownership forms to DSTV on the 2 November
They rep**** that copies of our ID docs had to be certified.( why ?I don't know) This I did.

After many phone calls we were informed that they cannot do the change as the insurance which was on my decoder is blocking the process from progressing. I have had a number of phone discussions with the Multichoice decoder care department .

The last discussion on Monday 16 November was especially frustrating as this call lasted more than an hour. Only for the operator to inform me he cannot do anything and the problem has been escalated. To whom? I don't know.

Every time I asked to speak to a manager I was informed that that cannot happen.

There are a few questions which arises from this situation.

How can the insurance block a simple transaction?.
Is Multichoice operating within the law on short term insurance as stipulated by The FSB?
Why is there no dedicated complaints department t
