CASE NUMBER: ***

I have been a customer of MultiChoice for many, many years. I recently cancelled my PRM and Dual View subscriptions due to extensive travel. I told the Customer Service Rep explicitly that the Insurance on the Decoder should remain active, since it was giving problems intermittently. I had a substantial credit on my account and told the Customer Service Rep that once the credit was depleted they should continue deducting the fee from my bank account from which they had been collecting my debit order for years. Imagine my surprise when I received a communications from MCA to say that my DCC has been cancelled! Having worked there for 11 years, I knew that I could just log email my query to Client Liaison and that someone would investigate and rectify the problem. To my disappointment I received the following answer: \Our records do not reflect any prior arrangement to continue debiting your FNB account - this might have been deauthorised by your bank. Unfortunately, we cannot issue a new policy for your decoder model as it has been discontinued. You may hand it in at any DStv agency to have it exchanged for a DStv Explora at a discounted fee.\" What a rip-off!! :(<br> "
