Cancellation refused
I am unable to cancel my DSTV subscription with immediate effect. The call center informs me that I have to wait until the next payment date 07/05/2016. This is not acceptable as I don't want their services anymore and I am not aware of a contract stating a notice period of 30 days. I contacted the service center on the 08/04/2016.<br> <br> How can DSTV hold me ransom by keeping my subscription active and I have to continue to pay until they decide to disconnect it?

DStv service is a month-to-month contract - when you pay your subscription, the contract for that month is fixed.
We've implemented a tool to schedule your upgrades, downgrades or suspension of services .You may phone us or use self-service at any time to request the change, which we will implement on your next payment date.
We confirm that your service has been scheduled to be disconnected on the 7 May 2016.
