Cancellation of Debit Order and DSTV Subs
I called DSTV on the 2nd of March requesting a full cancellation of DSTV subscription as well as requesting assurance from the call centre agent that the debit order would not be processed against my account at the beginning of April. Not being confident in the ability of DSTV to honour my request I decided to give them a call yesterday (28th of March) just to make sure there would be no surprises from them, only to be told by the call centre agent that the Debit Order had not been cancelled. I specifically request this to be cancelled. The debit order request has probably been raised already which means that DSTV will be collecting money from me, I will then have to go through the painful process of requesting the funds back, In the meant time DSTV will be earning interest on my funds (plus countless other customers who are in a similar situation) After some time on the phone with the agent, Please can you provide me with answers to the following questions
1.Why was the Debit Order not cancelled?
2.Why is there no record of who I spoke to on the 2nd of March?
3.Is it not logical to cancel the debit order when cancelling a DSTV subscription?
