Box Office Rental - requires SMS - BUT MTN contract SMS is rejected

<p>I tried to rent a "Box Office" movie on DSTV and they asked EITHER for an SMS of a long number, OR I could just wait and the rental would be activated.</p> <p> </p> <p>I waited four hours - no activation.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then sent an SMS from an MTN contract phone - which worked well about a month ago.</p> <p>Still no activation of the box office rental.</p> <p> </p> <p>I called the call centre twice - first time some rude individual put the phone down on me.</p> <p> </p> <p>Second time call was a bit more helpful.</p> <p> </p> <p>There has been no notice from either DSTV or MTN that MTN contract phones can't send SMS's to rent DSTV movies .</p> <p> </p> <p>Apararantly MTN and DSTV are fighting - but that's their problem - not ours.</p> <p>When trying to rent the "Box Office" movie there was an on-screen option of simply waiting - without sending an sms. This failed with no response after 4 hours</p> <p>So it looks like MTN and DSTV have an SMS issue - and neither communicate this to their customers.</p> <p>And DSTV have a simple communication issue - "If you say send an SMS or just wait then live up to both"</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
