Billing Department on permanent leave...

We paid our DSTV account before the due date.

After a few days we received a notice that we haven't paid and they are going to suspend the account. We send proof of payment 3 times in the first week (each time we spoke to a different consultant, who requested the proof of payment send to their email. All acknowledged receipt of the proof of payment).

But the payment still was not reflecting on our account. We then went to MultiChoice shop in Pretoria. They also requested proof of payment & a BANK STATEMENT reflecting the payment. Which we supp****...

Still no resolve. I then emailed Multichoice - their reply: the issue has been send to their Billing Department.

The next week our DSTV was disconnected - we called and according to the consultant, they can see the payment, it just has not been allocated to our account. He reconnected us and asked that we should contact them in 48 hours, the payment should then be allocated.

After 48 hours, we contacted DSTV again. Their reply: "Kindly note that the payment has not been allocated still. Please give us some time as we await feedback from the Unallocated payments department. "

Today our DSTV was diconnected again... According to the consultant I spoke to today, he cannot see the payment - so I had to email him the proof of payment, again. SERIOUSLY, HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO SEND PROOF OF PAYMENT BEFORE DSTV SORTS OUT THE ISSUE. Accoring to him, we also owe an additional amount of R128.34. Where does this amount come from? On the MESSAGES on DSTV, both emails DSTV send asks for the amount we paid, without the 128.34...

It seems the BILLING DEPARTMENT is on permanent leave - they are not working on their side. How long does it take to allocate a payment which they can see has been made.

Does DSTV have financial problems? By ignoring all our emails/calls and allocating a payment, they are trying to force us to make a double payment to get all sorted out... so they "score" a month payment. Also, now we are charged reconnection fees, eventhough the problem is not on our side. ****************!

So glad we do not have DEBIT ORDER - they would obviously then take 2 month's payment and sort out the double payment when their financial situation is better.

We just viewed our statement online.

The payment for September is still not reflecting on our account & the RECONNECTION FEE for 22 September has not been reversed.

This is after numerous emails, calls, a visit to their store & a review, still no payment allocation.

And still the issue has not been resolved...

DSTV still hasn't allocated the payment. They also now completely deactivated our decoders...

Also, only 1 reconnection fee has been refunded. The rest are still on our account.

I would recommend people to really think before subscribing for DEBIT ORDER... if they do not allocate your payment, and the next payment is due, they will probably take double from your bank...

We've done everything they've requested, but till today we have not had 1 response from DSTV's billing department.
