I requested my DSTV to be reconnected and I also wanted to know how much i will be paying...below is the response i received; crux of the conversation, on 16 February 2018. Please note that the amount of R528.45 is payable to cover services until the 27 February 2018. I paid R800 on 16 February 2018. On Sunday 25 February 2018 i received a sms from DSTV requesting i pay R322.45 to stay connected before 28 February 2018. if we do the maths, or I could be corrected, I paid R800, minus R528.45 = balance should be R271.55 right?? is DSTV ripping me off???

Your payment of R800.00 reflects in your DStv account. However, when we received this payment, the account has an overdue balance of R298.51. From the payment we received, we had to debit the balance owed and account remained with a credit balance of R501.49.
From the credit, we debited the pro rata balance Compact package and Asian bouquet such as follows:
o R88.65 - pro rata for Asian from 16 to 27 February 2018.
o R141.29 - pro rata for Compact package from 16 to 27 February 2018.
o R141.29 -pro rata for Compact from today to 27 March 2018.
There's no payment received today for your service. For this reason, you're required to pay R322.45 to keep the service active till 27 March 2018.
