Beware when upgrading streaming packages
Attempted to upgrade my streaming package from Compact Plus (R500) to Premium (R800) were unsuccessful via both the app and online. Then an attempt to add the Premium package (as an upgrade never worked), worked partially - charging me pro-rata for the rest of September. Then it stated I could not have this new package linked to my account as I already had a package in place (Compact Plus). Yet when I logged into my app it showed both present. Now I am paying for 2 packages unnecessarily and cancelling the Compact Plus means a 30 day notice period and yet another unnecessary expense of R500. Why is DSTV over-charging me in this way?

Clearly the escalation person understands what I wanted and the logic behind not having 2 subscriptions under 1 account. Hopefully the rest of the DSTV support team are informed of this process for easier assistance in future, if someone else hits this issue.
