Beware of DSTV's R99 Explora contract
We agreed telephonic to a R99 contract to purchase an Explora Decoder (frequently advertised over DSTV). It was delivered 14 December 2014 but on the 16th January 2015 it was faulty due to a hard drive fault. We phoned, e-mailed, sms'ed and even went to the Multichoice agent to have our decoder exchanged for a new one. Nobody can help us. The agent says it is not their problem, Multichoice says it is not their problem and we must send a sms to DPP, the DPP say they are only salespersons and cannot help us. It is now the 12th February 2015 and still has the broken decoder. We even begged Multichoice via e-mails to give us an address whereto we can send the faulty decoder and cancel our contract but received no respond. So please:- be careful to buy an Explora over the phone. There is no service and no feedback.
