BAD SERVICE AT MULTICHOICE

I've practically haven’t had television for the past 4 days. I am utterly annoyed with the manner in which Multichoice chooses to service their "valued" clients; especially taking in consideration I pay them my hard earned money month to month. My decoder keeps showing errors which in effect blocks my channels. I have been in contact with multichoice since Sunday hoping for a simple resolution. I spoke to a service consultant who was not able to assist me over the phone on the said day. She promised she had done all she can from her side and I should take my decoder in for testing. I then took it to Multichoice Signet in Lenasia and was advised that the decoder was damaged and needed to be replaced. I then drove to Maponya Mall as the the Signet branch did provide for replacements. At Maponya my decoder was replaced and I thought all was well. To my surprise the new decoder also gave similar errors when I got home. I then called the contact centre but still my efforts were in vain. They were not able to assist me instead was told to go back to Maponya for assistance. The following day, which is now Tuesday, I again drove to Maponya for the same issue. On my second time at Maponya the new decoder was tested and I was again assured ‘all is well’. Not surprised, when I got home the decoder was still not working.

Now, I have done all I could to try and resolve this issue on my side. What now disgusts me is that when I called in today is the fact that im being once again being referred back to Maponya Mall (for the third time). I cannot keep being sent back and forth for the same issue, I also have other commitments that I need to attend to in my life. I’m was also advised to call an installer at my own account to fix an issue that has nothing to do with installation at my house… how does that make sense??? No one is willing to be proactive and assist me with this issue. All I’m asking is that a technician must be sent my house at their expense since neither the service consultants nor the agency are able to resolve this issue. Multichoice must understand that this is their internal error and they cannot expect clients to pay for the company’s incompetence. It’s unacceptable. They think because they do not have direct competition it gives them the right treat their customers like ******* and make them run around like donkeys. I’ve been to their agencies three times in two days and I am not preparing for another visit any time in the future. Someone must take responsibility and sort this out.

Till now I’m still awaiting for a call from a so called supervisor Tania Sibeko who promised to call before 10am. Clearly she doesn’t give a **** about her clients. If you make a promise, you keep it. But of course that will never happen with Multichoice, all that’s important to them is receiving the hefty premiums they charge for nonsensical service.

Bitterly disappointed

Peter.
