Bad service

It's been years since I used my decoder on my dstv account i have been borrowing people the decoder to use it as an extra view on their accounts to keep it funtional, only now i told myself I should give dstv a try again, change the decoder back to my name and use it as an extra view, I'm being told I have reached my limit of decoder change of ownership can only be changed twice a year. Now tell me which option makes business sense, leaving the decoder unused gathering dust or paying a subscription for thae decoder? Please terminate my account don't want dstv anymore.
