Bad Accounts
I've never had a problem with Multichoice but I am extremely furios and disappointed with my latest encounter.

So at the beginning of Dec 2014 my decoder stopped working,so I called in to find out what was the problem and I was unable to get any joy,2 days later due to my own electrical dysfunctionality my decoder fused and I was strapped for cash during this time I only bought a new one 2weeks later...I did not make any payments for Jan and expected my services to be cut but to my surprise it was not, thinking they would realise and cut services as done in the past I didn't communicate this incident.my services were only cut a week and a half ago...the worst was yet to come...

I made a payment today of my normal premium plus the usual activation fee,get home only to find its still inactive,on calling into the centre and speaking to someone after 11minutes I was told that I was billed over 3 quarters of my normal premium for the service that Multichoice left on for the month of Jan...I really need someone to get back to me coz this is not the way to do business....

R Hanumuthoo
[Email Removed]

Note:if I donot get a response I willcall in.
Our records show that your service has been activated.
Previously, we allowed you to upgrade, downgrade or suspend your DStv package any time during the month. Our DStv service is a month-to-month contract - when you pay your subscription, the contract for that month is fixed.
Yes, in the past we allowed changes to your DStv package at any time of the month - this was a concession on our part as our systems couldn't facilitate it.
We've now implemented a tool to schedule your upgrades, downgrades or suspension of services - you can phone us or use self-service at any time to request the change, which we will implement on your next payment date.
Kindly note that as per our Terms and Conditions, you must make contact with us if you would like to make any changes to your account including disconnections. Our system will pick up the account and suspend you automatically if no payments are made, however, the amounts before the disconnection is due.
