Avoid DSTV Premium Stream as you don't get what you pay for.

I had DSTV Premium with 3 Xtraview options, but after evaluating my needs the DSTV Premium Streaming advertised on https://www.dstv.com/en-za/buy/dstv-packages/dstv-premium?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA1rSsBhDHARIsANB4EJY-X0yhFC3xMmzf451JxlFkNALUiRANKpQAMZyasDe04QvmNMTMFcAaAkFtEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds for R799 with an Extra Stream looked perfect.

After struggling to change my contract on line and through myDSTV app and failing miserably because the system appears to think that once you have a PVR you must be stuck with that option, I drove through to the customer help centre 15 minutes away. I was helped by a lovely lady Lerato who also seemed to struggle with the change over, but eventually managed to do it, cutting off the PVR instantly and supposedly leaving me with 2 streams.

I sat down pleased with myself to watch my evening programs streamed and all went well until I went to another room to continue watching on my iPad. Message came that I had exceeded my streaming connections. Huh? I was streaming in my main viewing area and trying to use a second stream, which is included in the package, in another room on another device. Whatever I tried failed to get the second stream going.

Overnight I switched off all devices that could possibly stream to make sure I was disconnected and tried again this morning to connect two devices. Same result, only one would connect. It seems as if DSTV's system cannot recognise that I am supposed to have two streams.

Bottom line is I am paying for something I am not getting. I am not going to waste my airtime being placed on hold for a telephone chat; to use WhatsApp I am going to have to agree to WhatsApp's Ts&Cs relating to business use that the Information Regulator has declared to be contrary to POPIA; I am going to have to drive through to the customer service centre again to waste time waiting to be served. Who is paying for the petrol for DSTV's own failings? Not them.

I was called by someone who was adamant that only one stream is included despite their advert saying you get one extra stream. DO NOT FALL FOR THE ******* THEY ADVERTISE OR SPEAK
