Atrocious service

Hi,

I have been a customer with DSTV for a couple of years now, and I cannot express how much they are a pain to deal with. It is unfortunate that we don't have a lot of options in SA for this kind of service and the only reason I am still with them is because my children love their kiddies shows.

It is not the first time I am having an issue with DSTV, and I always give them multiple chances to resolve my problem to no avail.

So last week I rang them up because for the past 3 months my debit order amount has shot up by an amount of about R200, and I also wanted to know when my Explorer was going to end. When I called them up, the lady I was speaking to, who said her name is Lindiwe Mbatha started off by giving me completely wrong information, I don't even think I remember her asking me to confirm any of my personal details to verify who she was speaking to and to protect my account information (she might have asked me but I don't remember). After I challenged her and told her the information she was giving me was not right, she immediately said they can't help me and I needed to SMS my ID number to some short code for someone to call me back to assist me. I asked her to stay on the line while I tried to SMS that number because I was calling from a landline, she immediately said what if they don't respond.

My next question was "why would you give me a number that you have no confidence in, and you are referring me there to sort out an issue as sensitive as my debit order". The lady hung up on me.

I immediatelt dialed again and I was routed to a different person, she said her name was Siphosethu. I asked her to put me through to Lindiwe who I was initially speaking to, she advised that she was based in the Port Elizabeth branch and they didn't have a Lindiwe Mbatha. I then asked her to put me through to a manager, she advised her manager was busy with someone else but would call me back once he was done. She said the manager's name was Alutha. I accepted the call back offer, but asked to explain why my debit order amount had increased, she said she didn't know and she was going to log a case for someone to investigate and get back to me. To date, neither the manager, nor "investigating" person has called me, and another debit order was collected two days after my complain and it was still the incorrect amount. Please assist as I feel like I have reached a point where multichoice is not going to call me, explain my bills or even correct my account.
