As good as *****ing your money and shocking service to boot

We had an early model PVR decoder that was too old to insure. When it failed to work any longer we took it in to the DSTV agents and was sold a "similar" replacement model at a cost of R600 (this was in mid-January 2016). For the next 4 months we had no less than 3 or 4 "similar" replacement decoders exchanged almost monthly / every few weeks that continually failed to work reliably despite completely rewiring the home and replacing the LNB etc. Eventually out of frustration we bought a brand new decoder out of the box. Having taken the previous unreliable decoder(s) back to the agents they were going to test it and if found to be problematic, refund the R600 (as discussed in a conference call with Joan (from the call centre) and Cornel (from the PE agency)), but now, almost 3 weeks later, neither bothers to call back and advise how the tests have gone, despite calls from us to enquire. How can DSTV sell faulty equipment directly to the public and then not reimburse you in return? And not return your calls or explain their actions?
