Are Dstv ******* or taking chances?

Went in at N1 city cape Town to make my payments debit order and they said they will let it go thru the next day, and made me sign papers OK fine, only 3weeks later they close my account due to no payment and said I must go in store to make payment with penalty are they trying to rob me what is the purpose of debit order if I have to walk in store to pay again
