Adverts and repeats
I am aware that my comments are a continuos gripe held by many subscribers but I have to say the latest campaign of advertising coupled with the significant amounts we now pay for this service is inordinate. I attempted to watch the Indy 500 on Sunday and eventually recorded this sothat I could watch by eliminating adverts. Repeat after repeat after repeat. I do not need to be informed of the pending Cricket World Cup, Comrades Marathon etc every 10 minutes over and over again. I am seeking out alternatives including streaming services as I simply cannot bear the current presentation. Are DSTV so short of programming that they resort to these tactics? Sorry value for money is just not a factor.

During the Indy 500 there was a sequence of adverts flighted, exactly the same thing, at least six times an hour advertising the upcoming Cricket world Cup, Comrades Marathon and some Movie with flying dragons and a few more. Same sequence repeat, repeat, repeat . These were not revenue generating just pure irrutation. I happen to be the President of a club of 510 members and this topic is universal. Price for DSTV and show repeats. Without exception we agree DSTV has gone to the dogs. MNET in the original format was value for money but now we are paying for old content, multitudes of repeats and most of the channels we dont watch. Why we should pay for these, heaven only knows. Time is right to vote with our wallets. If you think my complaint is an isolated few, think again. This few is that of tens of thousands. Do a survey and find out.
