Adapter not insured and we were never made aware.

We had an electrical problem in our area which damaged some of our electrical appliances and that included our dstv decoder. We had insured our decoder, so we took it to DSTV multi choice Maponya mall and we were told that the decoder is not damaged however the adapter is damaged and its not covered in the insurance.

My concern is non of this is explained when you insure the decoder as it was insured via telephonic conversation and My mom was never told that the insurance excludes the adapter now she is expected to pay R200 for an adapter. It is unfair that when payments are made there are no issues however when we supposed to get the service for it then its an issue.
