On the 29th of April 2016 I sent an email request to Multichoice giving them one months notice in order for them to suspend my dstv service as from end of May 2016.

A few days afterwards, I phone the DSTV call centre and they confirmed the cancellation was in order.

Today I wanted to re-activate my service but when I called in the first time reference number ********** they told me there is an arrears amount of R429 because I didn;t not give sufficient notice in 2016.

In order for me to reconnet the service, I needed to pay a total amount of R1008.10 incl the overdue amount.

I then called again to query the arrears amount because I had the email to prove I had given a months notice back in 2016. The call centre agent confirmed this was correct and he had sorted it out and no arrears were due.

After the call, I noticed the service had still not be connected, so I called again and spoke to a different call centre agent who told me that the full R1008.10 is due by 7pm today. I explained the issue regarding the previous call and he simply told me the full amount is due and it is not really his propblem regarding the overdue amount. Reference for the call: ********** -131.

I have since paid the full amount (begrudgendly) because I wanted the service activated for my tenant.
I would like my account to investigated and refund to be issued for the arrears amount for the notice period because I gave sufficient notice back in 2016!

DStv Hello Peter team
Best regards,
Still waiting for a response, i now received an SMS to say my account has been handed over from SSDA, this is going to affect my credit record, I phoned DSTV and they assured me my account is now in credit and yet my account is handed over. I would like a letter confirming that my account has not been handed over and that my account is in credit.
