Account Overcharge

Customer Number - ********** 0

I am very distressed and frustrated about the service that I received from Multichoice. My story goes like this on the 2nd of March 2017 I paid my compact subscription of R450 which is additional amount I paid since I know my subscription for my package is R345. On the 3rd March 2017 I went to multichoice to purchase a standard hd decoder as I wanted to upgrade from my old 3u 1132 to a new standard 4u HD decoder. On the 5th of March I logged in to multichoice self-service portal and tried to upgrade my package from compact to Dstv Extra and of which the service did not activate at all so I was still on Dstv compact subscription.

On the 18th March I was shocked when my Dstv service was disconnected, and an sms notification from multichoice followed saying I should pay amount of R377.75 to be re-connected again and bear in mind that on the 2nd March I paid R450 and tried to upgrade to Dstv Extra and the service was never activated.

On the 17th March before my service was disconnected I sent an e-mail to multichoice with enquiry reference number ********** longing to know why my account was R742.32 due. The response I got from Rebecca was that the amount of R742.32 is due to my account wich is R414.58 for Dstv Extra smartcard number ********** 422 and R333.87 due on my Dstv Compact package smartcard number ********** 501.

I again sent an e-mail to multichoice with query to my account explaining that I have only one active decoder which is on Compact package the new HD decoder (smartcard number 1 ********** 018) of which I already paid subscription of R450 for period of 02 March 2017 to 02 April 2017 and the old 3U 1132 decoder (smartcard number 1 ********** 335) is no longer active because I am no longer using it.

Then I received e-mail back again from Wayne explaining the same details. On the 18th March I decided to call multichoice customer service and I explained my frustrations to the agent repeately explained that my situation, and I do not owe any subscription and she also explined same details to me I received before. I requested that my service be re-connected again because to my knowledge I did not owe any subscriptions to multichoice. She re-connected my service back and explained that I have to pay the amount due by the 19th March. Few minutes later I logged in to Dstv Now portal and the balance owing was now R50 for reconnection, R192,48 for Dstv Extra and R166,94 for Compact subscription.

As my story goes my service was dis-connected again on the 22nd and from that moment I had mix emotions about the bad service rendered to me by multichoice after I have been a customer as way back as 2001. On the 27th I logged in to my Dstv self service portal and I was devastated when I saw that the amount due was R909 and it never end there on the 29th I checked again now the amount is R1252,33.

I am very frustrated because I am owing services that were never active on my end and my service was interrupted though R450 was paid for period of 2nd March to 2nd April.

The contradiction start with smartcard number 4 ********** 227 decoder DsD 910 that smart card was cancelled years back around 2011 when I was upgrading to 3U decoder smartcard number 1 ********** 335. The only active smartcard I have now is 1 ********** 018 of which I paid the of R450 for period of 2nd March to 2nd April. Multichoice I am very dissapointed by your services I consider you a complex Organisation with wide clientele. I don't owe any subscrition to Multichoice and my service was interrupted of because of the incompetecy from your end. I am not going to pay anything because I do not owe you anything the only waiting payment is my subscription for period of 2nd April to 2nd May. Solve my issue or I am going to revoke my account and I never be a multichoice customer again I will look for an alternative somewhere else.
