Absolute Ripp Off

I have been a loyal DSTV premium client for around 10 years and 2 years ago I went for the Price Lock deal on offer with an extra view option. There has never ever been a missed or late payment in all these years. A few days ago I called the Call Center to inquire what options are available to me as the Agreement would be coming to an end in June and was told that one on their representative would return my call. This never happened. I called again 3 days ago as I received an sms saying I owe DSTV R1 700.00 an was told by the consultant to ignore the message as it was a system error and that again one of the consultants would be calling me in regards to the options available. We all know how "****" DSTV's customer service is and is second in this category to only Telkom. Needless to say no one has returned my call. To my anger I just saw that DSTV debited my account for R 1 700.00. Now this is simply unacceptable, ********* and simply daylight robery as I never agreed to this amount being debited and will definitely be taking this further. The country is held hostage by DSTV's poor service and lack of ethics as there is no other alternative so they continue to increase their pricing every year where now its almost half of what you would be paying for a small car while continuing to treat its customers like **** with its continued repeated shows, lessening its channels and being demographically selective in its upliftment opportunities. I want this matter resolved by close of business today or I will lodge a formal complaint at the DTI, BCCSA and NCT as they are simply knowingly breaching the Consumer Protection Act. I am utterly distressed at this point and will not be surprised if it cannot be resolved. People should just move to Netflix.
