A smart card takes a week to be changed

My Explora 3B decoder started acting up with a few error codes on Saturday (18 May 2024) and I kept on clearing them with the app until I got frustrated with these error codes popping up often. And there was no issues with the weather or anything. I called in on Sunday (19 May 2024) and the guy tried so many things without being successful, I have a feeling he did not know what he was doing. He lastly advised me to go to the nearest DSTv center (Secunda) which I did on Monday (20 May 2024). The lady there took 20 minutes testing my decoder only to advise me that there is a problem with my smart card and therefore it needs to be changed. I was like ok let's get a new smart card, to my disappointment, the smart card takes at least 24 hours to be issued. A smart card (that thing that is like a sim card) takes at least 24 hours to be issued! All the cellphone shops do sim card swaps in less than an hour but Multichoice takes at least 24 hours to swap a smart card? She went further to tell me that it may even take a week and she showed me a decoder that is there for a week now. A smart card takes a week to be issued, yhoooo. Now what must I watch without a TV for a week? My house is so quiet you would swear we have a funeral in the house.

It has been 3 days (and counting) and I am still waiting for my smartcard replacement, I am starting to believe that it really takes at least a week to replace a smartcard instead of the quoted 24 hours WHICH IS RIDICULOUS IF YOU ASK ME.
