4 weeks on and still no response! Account suspended and its not even my fault!

I decided about a year ago to opt for the explorer deal advertised by Dstv where the monthly installment would be fixed for 2 years and you would have the benefit of the new explorer features such as catch up etc. We deecided to go for it, but were informed by multiChoice that we had to change our monthly payment from a cash-based payment (as at the time with our then 'PVR' account) to a debit order. We agreed and did all that was necessary and MultiChoice approv ed and delivered and we went on with our lives.

4 weeks ago I returned from a business trip and was looking forward to a slow weekend with the Springbok and Welsh game pending the next day - but to my surprise my account notice as displayed was suspended!

I called first thing that Monday only to discover that MultiChoice had not being deducting payment as per the debit order and I now apparently was owing R10,000 - up until then I had never received an invoice either to my frustration.

The call centre said they would escalate the matter urgently - after a full week I called again as I had stil not heard from anyone. This tithey they said it would be addressed that same day - almost another week down and all is stil suspended.

Do these guys know how business and client reslationship actually work?

I got a rather speedy response from MultiChoice the following day when I was called; apologizing and promised to rectify immediately. I was then transferred to the accounts department - after being on hold for more than 20 minutes (I could hear people chatting in the background and repeatedly said 'hello' without any luck.
The same day I had a followup call but was in a meeting and could not take the call, but the message did say they would try calling later, I called after my meeting but kept getting a message saying the number does not exist - I tried returning the missed call several times the following day using the same number which I had missed.
I'm still no closes than before to resolving the problem on hand
