15 YEARS FOR NOTHING

I have been a client of MNET/DSTV/MULTICHOICE for the past 15 years. every month, we pay over a thousand rand for our subscriptions. Within the last month, I have had nothing but problems with DSTV. We had the old DUAL VIEW PVR and were basically bulled to go to DSTV in Randburg and hand it in for a 2nd hand "refurbished" Explora. Against my will, I did. When i got home, it wouldn't work. Same errors etc happening, so I went back. I had the bad luck of dealing with Karabo Ncwaiba (a supposed supervisor).

I demanded my PVR back as I would rather sit with an intermittent signal problem than an explora that was having trouble connecting to the primary decoder every two minutes. She blatantly refused and told me it was a settings problem.

Bradley Makgeledisa was then ordered to help me, whilst Karabo stood and looked on. (playing on her phone or updating her status on fb or whatever).

Bradley was very helpful and provided me with very friendly and helpful service.. (He must have been trying to make up for the incompetance that is Karabo Ncwaiba.

I left with the refurbished unit once again, only for an error to come up stating that the system needed to be formatted as there was a hardrive issue.

I tried to get hold of Karabo for a week, and eventually sent an email. To which i got no response.

I called through and FINALLY she answered her phone. When telling her my problem, she was ubrupt, rude and told me she was unable to help and that I must come in.

When I eventally got to DSTV for the 3rd time, I was FURIOUS.

After telling me on the phone she couldn't assist me, and that they need to run tests on the system, I knew she would not be helpful. Once I saw her, I requested to speak to HER supervisor. She immediately started screaming at me in the reception area, infront of EVERYONE and told me not to undermine her authority and that she is a supervisor I have no need to speak to someone else.

I told her that she already told me they could not give me my old PVR back or a new unit, to which she continued to belittle me infront of her peers.

She once again barked orders at poor Bradley who then had to run how many tests. (while she stood on her phone deleting old photos, checking facebook, and having absolutely NO customer service s****s AT ALL. In the time i stood there, the staff at the other cubicals stood screaming at one another, dancing in the isles, laughing their heads off and just acting like complete children. I was shocked at the lack of proffessionalism i received at DSTV. It was like a service.

End of the day, I walked out there with a brand new explora 2, which still does not work. I spent 25 minutes on the line to your call centre, which cost me a fortune, only for them not to be able to help me.

I am SO angry, and will not be leaving this incident here.
