Run!!

We paid Darius Lekay R16000 as deposit to redo our bedroom closets. He appeared respectful and talked a good game. Quote looked professional and he was very responsive. He was meant to start work 3 weeks after the deposit was paid. After following up with him on the Saturday (26 July)to confirm that he will start work the Monday (28 July) he apparently ended up in hospital with extremely far fetched ailments and would not be able to do the work. As "proof" he sent us old videos of him in hospital (where he is addressing another client called Siya). The hospital videos seem to have been taken on 2 separate occasions as he does not look the same in both.He refused to return our deposit. He refused to let us get the apparent building materials that he purchased. He said we could collect it in approximately 3 weeks when he is released from hospital. He called me ******** and a dumbass for not believing his lies. He keeps threatening to sue us for defamation of character because we are sharing our experience with him and his company.

We are in the process of opening a case at SAPS and will report him to the building registration council.

Incredibly disappointed that we did not do our homework as it seems we were not the first.
