Take your money but can't give you an invoice

The accounts department is a raging nightmare, they can take your money very quickly but god forbid you ask them for an invoice for tax purposes! For a week I have been given the run-around and I am constantly told that they can't find the account on their system BUT the funds went off my credit card and I have a receipt - is this how medical practitioners **** patients or cook their books?
