Blood samples was taken in 2014 and again in 2020 and both results returned as negative with no sign of infection. However the knee has lost immovability and I can not straighten the knee due to internal swelling - never mind the amount of pain I am suffering. I have to undertake a dual operation to remove the old prosthesis and place an antibiotic spacer in the knee for 6 weeks and up to three months to treat the infection and then undertake a second operation to have more advanced prosthesis inserted. BUT AMPATH CAN NOT DETECT INFECTION. And yes I also experienced threats with payments. I don`t know why doctors are using them.
